Hi. Wonder if anyone has a solution to this behaviour.
When I place an object in my scene and then press the pen icon (options)
the object immediately moves far away from where I placed it, and I have to move it back.
This happens with any object, even the Lumion standard objects.
Sometimes, if I move the object a bit around with the move tool first, it stays in the last position when I press the options button.
So, it seems my objects automatically move to a zero position as soon as I press the options button.
Unless I move them around a bit first.
I would very much like them to stay on the position I choose on insertion.
Hope someone has a solution.
Cheers.
Mik

I am using the latest free version.
No other mouse or pointing device connected.
I have a usb musical keyboard connected, but I don't think it acts as a mouse.

Hi Mik, this was an issue in an earlier version of Lumion - please upgrade to Lumion 2.5.

Also, holding shift key down when moving the object keeps the object at that plane. Sometimes, when moving an object which is high up, you can accidentally force it to snap to a lower object plane.

Oh, thanks a lot. I wasn,t aware of the new free version. Do I need to uninstall the current version first? ( Lumion Free v.2.0 ) or will version 2.5 overwrite it ?
Also, will my projects load in the new version?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Mik, you can keep 2.0 - just install 2.5 in a new folder.

Unfortunately not.
Before Lumion 2.5 was released, scenes made in Lumion FREE could not be opened in the commercial versions of Lumion. However, with the release of 2.5 the developers decided to change this restriction.
In other words, your Lumion FREE 2.0 scenes can't be opened in 2.5. But a scene made in Lumion FREE 2.5 can be opened in all versions of Lumion 2.5, including the commercial versions.

Thanks. I will keep both versions then.
