Hey all ;)
Building up towards Lumionautics (http://lumionautics.com) launch, and in light of the latest Lumion 2.2 release (and introduction of Lumion PRO), we'll shoot some articles into orbit to keep you in the loop and well-informed.
First one is a great interview we had with Ferry Marcellis, Founder & CEO of Act-3d.
Read it here - http://lumionautics.com/interview-with-ferry-marcellis/ (http://lumionautics.com/interview-with-ferry-marcellis/)

Welldone Ronen, very good start. ;)

Excellent. Some clarity issues Bakbek. Assuming it comes from translating.
"In retrospect, that was a completely wrong choice since I hardware creation was far and beyond me, just didn’t had the feel for it."
Should read like so....?
"In retrospect, that was a completely wrong choice since hardware creation was far and beyond me, just didn't have the feel for it."
Ferry is the King of Real-time 3D for Architects.
Yep ;)
Thanks for pointing this up

Thanks... I hope you'll like what is up next in line ;)

Awesome interview Bakbek.
Thank you for sharing this us.
Ferry is the man!
Remko too!
Morten as well!
Include the A-Team: Alexander, Arthur and Artur

And don't forget the other team members. We couldn't have created Lumion without them. Alexander, Arthur and Artur
Here is a 2.3 sneakpeak of what Alexander created. Improved clouds.

Terrific interview Ronen and thanks to you for supporting the Lumion community with coverage like that! I liked that Ferry referenced those old Amiga-based 3d programs (Imagine and Lightwave).

Oh wow! That's amazing!!!

Great read thank you very much.

Great idea, Ronen. I really look forward to following this progress as well as Lumions. I think we are all about to witness the explosion of Lumion onto the world visualization stage in earnest.
I also think you can count on all of us here to support your efforts to spread the word and help build this passionate Lumion community into something amazing.
thanks,
bob

"In the long run, maybe we might try to give modeling a shot."
Really??? I would think that was already covered by several great programs. Applications get into trouble when they work too hard at being everything to all users. I would prefer to see added parameter controls of objects and animations.

Yes David, you´re right, but if only I can do a little transformation in my imported model, like in this petition:
http://lumion3d.com/forum/new-features-wish-list/this-would-be-awesome- (http://lumion3d.com/forum/new-features-wish-list/this-would-be-awesome-)!!/
Don´t you think it would be interesting to model a row of columns and move them within Lumion power without having to import and update the entire model, correct height of a chairs group that accidentally you put them to 10 cm of floor, or to eliminate a chair that has been going through a wall or door? ;)
For this, I´ll be grateful enough.
(I don´t know why does not working the link)

Thanks for the interview - great to learn the development of Lumion.
..and great clouds!! Can't wait for release 2.3!!!
-
If we would ever do something with modeling it is of course something special that doesn't exist.
-
Do you refer to something like "automatic model from my imagination, and without a click" ?? :-D
-
Indeed
-
Just make sure it works with a game controller... :-D
