I know very little about sketchup. I wish I could help you but someone who did this often has to help. I do think you will need 64 bit win7 if the model is big. Since in 32 bit you can only use 1.2 gig of memory which for a big model is quickly not enough.

I use SketchUp 7 and 8 on win7 32 en 64bit, exporting dae never a problem with it.
Keep in mind that for SketchUp 7, you best use the latest version, because first version of SU7 dae export will not load in Lumion.
Â
Did you try to export the scene in parts?
Â
It sounds more like a pc related issue, or is the scene SO big?

Moved topic to Crash when exporting from Sketchup on 32 bit sytem, which is a more helpful title for other users.

see3d.be,thank you for your replying!but i should say we've tried to export the model in parts, what's more,we've tried to export the simple model, such as a cube without any materials, unquestionably,it's a small scale scene, but unfortunately,we failed time and again!
