Title: Add audio to mp4 Lumion video
Post by: Member1414 on March 13, 2012, 10:29:02 am
I'm looking for a way to add an audio track to the exported mp4 Lumion file. It needs to be quick and dirty (tight deadline) Simply add a track without the need to reencode the video file. That way there is no quality loss.
I've tried YAMB http://www.videohelp.com/tools/YAMB (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/YAMB). That's the kind of tool I'm looking for, just mux the video and audio stream together. I also tried some other programs on the videohelp site.
Results for YAMB where not great, the video picture froze after a short while of playing the video, audio kept playing. Is it for example important what kind of audio file is used, in my test I used mp3
What are you guys using to simply add an audio track to the Lumion video?
Any other experience with YAMB like programs (muxers)?

I have had success with videodub.

It lets you add an audio track without reencode the video

However since MP4 is track based instead of interleaved frames the audio may cause some lag or glitch in video.

To get technical it has to do with the ratio of I P and B frame markers in the data track of mp4

The best solution is a dedicated video encode board which let this happen with minimum problem

If you can find ulead media pro 8 it has smart encoding which also works.

From an article on how to add music or audio track to video (http://www.faasoft.com/articles/add-music-to-video-mac-and-windows.html), I found the tool which can help you do the above task.

The tool can easily add MP3, WAV, AAC, M4A, WMA, AC3, MP2, AIFF, CAF, QCP, APE, FLAC, DTS, RA, OPUS and more to video like MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, FLV, WMV, MXF, WebM, ASF, DV, MPG, RM, AVCHD, SWF, MOD, MTS, OGV, 3GP, etc.

Users with Lumion Pro can add music and 3D sound effects directly in Lumion.  :)
