Title: Replacing background with a real image

Is it possible to change the background image with a real photo. (Save a file with an alpha channel).?

Do you mean a custom background/sky in Lumion? If so, the answer is yes (background images with a 1-bit alpha channel also work):

Or do you mean saving images in Lumion with an alpha channel, so that the sky could be cut out in 3rd party compositing software? If so, the anwer is no.

Hi Morten

It was the last you wrote. But I can see that there is a workaround with a black background. But you don't get reflections in windows etc. by this method do you.?

If you mean turning the sky black, so that you can cut this part out in your compositing software, reflective materials will reflect the black sky. And this will not look as good as when the sky is blue.
