Title: How do you select one aligned object from another?
Post by: Member19044 on January 04, 2012, 03:38:40 pm
I have aligned two models but now I can only get to the properties of one of those objects. I want to lock one but it only gives me the properties of the other. Is there a way to get to the properties like you can use "Escape" to move?

Thanks in advance,
Ben

Hi Ben, you need to place the mouse cursor over the small overlapping circular selection icons. Then use the scroll wheel on your mouse or the arrow up/down keys to toggle between the objects.

Awesome! Thank you Morten. I knew it had to be that simple.

(Yes, it's simple once you know how... You're not the first person to ask, and you won't be the last, so I guess this functionality needs to be made more intuitive to use)

You could add it to tips and tricks in your align section.

might be nice to have a tool tip come up when hovering over the selection dot too.

That's a good idea, Bob.
