How do birds fly (under what trajectory), when I insert them into the terrain air?
Always in round paths, or they just wonder around the whole terrain?
Thank you for the reply.
-
Always in round paths,
Yes.
The path and animations are currently fixed and optimised for Lumion and 3d real-time.
Move your view/camera up high above and you can see the paths taken.
They will pass into/through objects as there is no form of collision or collision avoidance. Same with fish etc.

So all birds (the ones that fly) and all the fish, always take circular trajectories in relation to the place where they were put? This exact place represents the center of the trajectory circle?
-
The animations have to loop so they are roughly circular but the transform icon is not always at the centre of the path.
-
Ok, thank you for the reply, both of you.
One more question:
I understand that birds and fish pass into/through objects, of imported objects (.3ds, .fbx, .dae) But what about the Lumion default terrain objects? The same? Bird/fish pass trough it?
-
Yes, the animation paths are fixed.
-
I hope there will be some collision avoidance at least for the Lumion terrain landscape in the future.
It looks very ugly when a bird flies into the mountain.
Thank you for the reply.
-
I don't see that happening George.
Just got to place them in the right spot so they don't fly into mountains, peoples faces and into walls...course you could pile some dead birds on the ground to add some realism if they have to fly into a wall or mountain. :D
