Yes for sure I agree but I would be much happier if I could just do something simple like edit mesh and put it back in place. I think I have heard of a work around for this but I never experimented, it seemed stupidly complicated.

Simple first! please!!

Laying a mat/image down and painting in detail as it is needed is one of lumions strengths. If I could do the same with mesh, swaping it in and out as it needs modification....wow!! ...bye bye 3Dmax.

I would say all of the best model makers who have done extensive work in Lumion are waiting for this and there is a large external audience waiting as well.

You all have my sympathy in this forum, but I'm agree with you Bruce...
Before asking very specific function as Dynamic cloth, bubble and so on  (see many "strange" request on the forum) ... what about functions that suits to most of people ...
Was laughing (in an other post) when i said that i want to be able to ear differents musics coming from cars with an open windows...i guess that finally somebody will ask this for real soon  :-D

In france got an expression "Chacun voit midi à sa porte" literally "everybody see noon at his door" can be translate by "To each his own" or "To be wrapped up in oneself" so i understand all requests...  :P

regards  ;)

Cloth animation can be easily done by importing an animated mesh into Lumion and it will be looped the entire time...honestly, if isn't an interactive scene ( so, is something that right now you can't do in Lumion, unless you're doing a live presentation ), I don't see the point of that feature.

The other two features are mostly used ( as for the cloth animation ) in an interactive scene...
You can import your animated explosion into Lumion ( but you'll have looped explosion without the fire/smokle made with your 3d app ) and you can mimic the fluid bouncy by keyframe...but again, those features are important if you're doing something interactive, otherwise is something not really needed since Lumion is made for make HD movies...

(Just to clarify: It's currently only possible to import move/rotate/scale animations in Lumion. You can't import vertex animations such as cloth/fabric yet)

Well, in a video, anything that is animated (people, vehicles, cloth etc.) will also add to realism. As I heard, there will be some animated flag (?) or something like that in some later version. I wonder how "generic" that will be (i.e. will it be possible to position it differently, add custom materials etc.) so that it could even be used as a curtain or similar.

Yes, we've got a bunch of animated flags that loop seamlessly. For the time being, the flag textures can't be customised, but that is obviously something that they want to add. You can't really use the flags as curtains as the flag animations are too... well, flag-like :)

Customizing the flag texture would be something very important though. You cannot create flags for all possible countries (back to the past as well) and organizations (even football clubs) and such so that should be up to the user.

(Customisable textures for these objects are on the To Do list)

Never say never,
judging from the extensive cluttering going on in the roadsign-lib. department.
Perhaps we're missing Nepalese roadsigns but other then those,
surely the rest of the worlds must all have made it in  :+

'Lumion 2.0, now with 2mln unique library objects!'
(of which 1.999.900 are flags but nevermind that  :D)

Perhaps one day we'll get access to that vertex animation shader for the carwheels.
This would help a lot......... :-*
