Title: Laptop
Post by: Member6983 on October 05, 2011, 12:22:02 am
Is it possible to put a license on two computers (Desktop & Laptop) one for when im in the office vs. out of office?  Seems as though the license should be good as long as im not using both at the same time? Is this not the case?

Thanks,

Yes, this is more or less the case however to "make sure" you indeed do not use it on two machines, you can only have it activated on one at a time.

When you finished on one machine, you need to deactivate it and only then can you activate it on the other machine. For these two actions you need to be connected to the internet - otherwise after activation, Lumion works offline, too. Now I am not exactly sure if you also need to be logged in here while activating (there was a time when online presence was needed).

Hmmm... Ok, so there seems to be a way to do this?  As long as i am not online?  Also, I have to deactivate?  Can I go back and forth easily?  This is pretty important for when i am out of my office.

Thanks again,

pretty much that easy.
1. get online - activate rig 1 - use rig 1 online or offline - get online - deactivate rig 1.
2. get online - activate rig 2 - use rig 2 online or offline - get online - deactivate rig 2.
3. repeat step one
infinite loop   :D
