For those that might be interested, I'm neither recommending, representing it or otherwise, just noticed as I follow the software.
I see Gamr7 that develops Urban Pad is having one of those internet community sales (similar to messiahStudio a while back).
Info is here (http://www.gamr7.com/init/urban_pad/special) on the special, 2 weeks 3 October to reach sales goal, $29 licence(indie).
For those not familiar with Urban Pad, its similar to Procedural City Engine and a couiple of others, makes cities, buildings etc. Not suitable if you need to make exact locality replication, but perhaps has it's place for some who use Lumion for some projects.

THAT looks cool Peterm.
Do you use it? Does it work well? $29 is a steal? Worth it?
I've bought bargain basement programs before and well.....they were worth very little.
Just trying to get the scoop.
thanks for sharing :)

There is also two alternative PCBT's made for/with Blender. The one I'm most familar with is Suicidator City Generator by Piiichan (Arnaud Couturier). It' create 3D cities in a single click with Suicidator City Generator, a free Python script for Blender'.
You have a choice of a free earlier version for Blender v.2.49, or at a modest cost for the new version using Blender 2.5!
The results are pretty impressive, if you take a look at the renderings here:

Having as yet had time to see if you can import into Lumion.

You only get it for 29 bucks if they collect a certain amount. otherwise you will get your 29 back but have no license...
