Title: People missing through glass
Post by: Member3544 on September 12, 2011, 06:56:51 pm
Anytime I place either moving or silhouette people in a scene, any glass (curtain wall or glass railings) does not display the people through it.

If I have a glass ralining, it looks the the people standing behind the railing have no legs, until the camera view changes and the glass is no longer in front of the people.

I am using Build 6

Hi Joesam, you're right - glass materials and 3D silhouette people/animals don't mix well at the moment since the latter use transparency. It's a known limitation in Lumion but it would be great if this could be fixed at some point.

I can only make the 3D Silhouette People and the 3D Silhouette Animals disappear behind glass objects.

Can you help me reproduce this issue, for example by uploading a scene that confirms that other types of people are invisible behind glass objects?

This also goes for fountains and fire as well...hopefully there is a solution in the future that will allow glass and these objects.  There are many times I need to look through glass at a space then enter that space...right now objects "magically appear".  LOL

Yes, it basically affects all objects that are semi-transparent, i.e. the particle effects, glass and 3D silhouette people/animals.
