I have prepared a story board for a swim bath I am currently working on. I rendered it and everything is fine. Today I did some changes on the building, reloaded it in Lumion (by the way I think the position of reloading the model in the edit materials section is unlogic) and wanted to rerender the movie. But now I have to see that my storyboard with all the effects, camera settings and so on are gone! Is that a bug or what? 2 hours of testing and hard working gone? I tried it again with a new file, same effect... Any help?

Can you email your scene files?
-
To check the file, or what? If you wanna check it I can send it to you… will check how big it is. Does the storyboard normally stays saved?
-
When I re open the file I have noticed that sometimes my story boards are missing as well. For me, they show as black but when I click on them )where they were before closing) they re-appear. Not sure if this is what you are experincing.

ok, I have to check that. I think there was something black. But I deleted it already. Will redo some of the steps and do some tests. Thx. so far.

Thx so much! That is the thing. The boxes are just black, but when you click on them or press the play button they reload and you can see the thumbnails again. So the storyboard isn t lost, just the thumbnails seems to get lost. Is this intended or is that a bug?

No promblem.  The sofware is awesome, we just need to keep working thru a few things to get this just right. Lumion has already changed my workflow.

You are correct that when you load a project the tumbnails of your movie might be black. This is because the tumbnails are created when you play the movie...I'll look into that tommorrow.

Great support, thx so far! I hope the quality of the support and the software will stay like that!

Wait till you see the first big update

If you use a fade in/out post effect then the preview image will be black if you are in the begining or end of the movie, just scrub the timeline
and everything is as it should. Do not know if that is your problem but I have found myself deleting movies that I thought where gone myself when it was actually the post effect that made the preview black.
-
It is indeed the fade in that makes it black. When rendering the first scene it actually IS black. We will see what we can do to fix this. Maybe I can skip the fade in the preview.

Please note that empty scenes are not black. Empty scenes have a special icon. It's difficult for us to figure out which frame we should use as a thumbnail so we just use the last one that was played. In a scene with a fade this could be a black screen.
