Is there any way to create a material which is semi translucent. i'm trying to make a lightweight curtain which should permit some light through. i saw a youtube video by geohow and he's managed to do it. any ideas?

hmm.. good question. I thought maybe a png whit 50% transparancy would do the job. But that doesn't seems to work and the glass material doesn't have a transparancy slider. However there is an option/slider that allows you to cut transparant parts out of the texure, the reflection or clip slider. If you use an texture like the one attacht you can fake the some transparancy by clip the texture and set scale to a small number. This gives a more or less semi transparant/translucent effect.

hi did you manage to get that transluscent material... is there a workaround for this.. i think Geohow should have a separate exclusive thread showing how he pushes the limits of the software that even the developers are amazed to see that.... awesome guy...
