saving objects from lumion to the lumion library

we create many objects in cad and 3dsmax that could be used in a variety of our projects.
the possibility to save an imported dae-object that was fully textured in lumion to lumions own libray would be awesome.

doing this again and again from project to project is time killing and reduces the fun working with this great software.

how about it ?

best regards

For me anything I import is saved in the lumion folder in my documents. It stays in there fully textured from project to project. It would be nice if we could organize it with folders somehow.

A better organizational system including network storage is on the wishlist.

Yes, currently I also "organise" stuff there by hiding and re-displaying content into folders. Whatever I am working on is in the top level folder and other projects are in their subfolders waiting to be placed top level again. It would be nicer to do it straight from Lumion.

I made a new change to help this issue. In the next update you are able to make folders 1 level deep inside your library folder. You will for now have to do this by hand and move your objects by hand.

But if you do Lumion will recognize the folders and show them in the object selection menu.

Attached is an example image.

Excellent, thanks Ferry!

This solution will be quite sufficient for my needs (at least). I have no issue moving stuff here and there (keep doing it with quite a lot of apps - even with my main modelling one, SketchUp)
