Revit file to lumion

HI;

I have installed the demo version of lumion to try it out. I exported one of revit sample file to FBX format, then I used 3dsMax 2012 to make a DAE file from Revit FBX file. I imported the DAE file into Lumion. The problem is that I cannot place the model in Lumion. When I click where the flashing arrow is, nothing happens. I have tried with other files no luck.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks

-You could try changing the .FBX version when exporting (see attached screen)
-Importing .FBX directly should also work, depending on a lot of stuff but give it a shot.
-If you have Max 2011, try the same procedure but export the .FBX file as a Open Collada file.
You can get it here: http://www.opencollada.org/download.html

are you sure no geometry is imported?
Maybe it's a scale issue, or a model way off from the origin point?

If the original drawing was an acad model the chances are big  that the origin is idd somewher way off the center, aldo you maybe did center it in revit.

Revit > Export FBX > Import to Max using file link manager, use preset "do not combine entities", center model in Max (x,y, AND Z) > export using Open Collada plug-in (smaller file sizes than Autodesk DAE).

Open Collada automatically combines entities.

This has always worked as expected.

Thank you all for reply. Here some info in regard s to some of your questions

The FBX file made from native revit file. The origion is very close to building. I checked  on the web and open collada plug-in is only for max 2011 and prior versions. I didn't see any for max 2012.

I also noticed that when I import DAE file into Lumion, there is no Thumbnail image in the library, is this mean that the file didn't get load?

I have attached the file if anybody wants to give a try see if it works

Youre right; No 2012 Open Collada exporter yet.
Here you go, converted via Max2011.
Tested in Lumion and seems to check out ok.
If you need additional help, just ask.
