Question about Lumion compeition

I was looking at the Lumion competition and was wondering about something.

If all there versions (Free, normal, and ultimate) can be used in the competition, wouldn't people using the basic or ultimate one have an automatic advantage because they have access to more items than those using the free version?

I can understand where maybe free doesn't have all the content like buildings or cars or trees or whatever, but since materials and shaders are limited, a lot of things would end up looking the same, therefore not being as good, therefore making the entry automatically not look nearly as creative and unique to someone with access to all the materials.

Again, I understand that it's free so there's less content. However, if I were to bring in a model that I made entirely on my own, then it'd still end up looking not as good as someone with another version because of the materials that are on it since we can't import textures.

It's a known fact that a lot of what makes a model believable is the textures, shaders, and lighting, and not just the model itself.

Would it be possible to separate the contest into brackets of some kind to balance it out a bit better?

Why?

Those who bought the program paid for the advantage.

Fare enough.

Sorry for that.  I was writing  this under the pretense that you couldn't import images when upon further messing around with it, I found out you can. So please forgive my ignorance and disregard this post.

no worries   8)

Seems like the free version is slimmed down on Lumion created content - limited on output sizes and has a little watermark.

Other than that - really there is nothing to hold one back in sharing their 3D modeling creations.
Having paid for the software - Lumion Free does everything I needed originally anyways.

It is conceivable to do really beautiful things in the free version if the models one uses and the materials they create are so good it blows everyone else out of the water. I see no reason that someone can't do awesome things in the free version.

Niether do I  now that I know you can put in your own textures and you could already import your models. Plus the watermark is hardly intrusive and it still has some really awesome effects. I look forward to importing models with this.
