There is a way to do this, can we animate peple along a spline or something similar, i:ve tried to animate with animate objets and with animate models, with animate objects i can animate so good, but only in one way, people cant take corners, and with animate models I cant archieve good results because the model slide...

The perfect solution should be with animate objects, but along a spline.

Any solution?...

Thanks in advance...

If you move the axis point away from the object you can then rotate/animate to emulate a spline like move....sharp corner - move axis close.....long slow turns - move axis away.

The Advanced Animation effect is currently somewhat limited, so you don't have much control over the speed of the animated objects. This will inevitably result in people that slide/moonwalk, cars that change speed from one keyframe to the next etc.

Here's what I wrote about the Advanced Animation effect in another thread:

In my opinion, the Advanced Animation effect needs to be improved a bit before it will be useful for more complex animations with many "actors". As a minimum, it ought to be possible to select 1 or more objects, and then only show the keyframes of the selected object(s). It would also be useful to be able to move keyframes as well as to set a constant speed for certain objects. However, I am not involved in the design of Lumion, but I hope the developers will consider overhauling this effect at some point.

Hi Morten, I sure do not have more information about the changes, developments or studies progress and make adjustments in the animations.

But someone should say something about it, although advances are small.

I dare say that the basic and initial animation Lumion was better than the current L2.1_B4. and give you an example: the characters were moving in a straight line, but not float like now.

Hi Severino, as far as I know, Ferry has not worked on improving the Advanced Animation effect recently, so there's nothing to say (yet).

All I can say is that I acknowledge that it is of limited use at the moment, and that I hope the developers will have time to overhaul this effect in a future update.

No € 2999 for this http://lumion3d.com/lumion-3-0-update/

Not perfect and still things to work through...yes.  And as with all versions of the software, there is constant improvement.  How was ACAD 2013 when it first came out...ton of little issues.  At some point you have to call pencils down and release, when the masses get the software there are always issues that betas and devs do not find.  I would think they did their best to get everything worked out prior to release.  Now if they sat and did nothing to remedy issues, people should be upset...the reality is they work all the time to improve.  Patience..it has only been what 2 days.
