Hi forum members,

I tested lumion this night (was a very short night ;) ) and the first results were already very nice. I love the demo! The only thing I could not test yet was if Lumion works fine with the 3D Vision set of Nvidia. Does anybody know if that works? As far as I know the 3D Vision can only be enabled in Fullscreen Mode and I think that does not exist in Lumion, right? Would be great to be possible to activate that in the presentation mode for example.

Thx for any help...

The only feature missing to use 3D Vision is the fulscreen mode.

So if this feature is requested by customers Im sure it will be possible in the future.

In movie mode you can generate Steroscopic movies.

There is 1 method we implemented.

If you press CTRL while starting Lumion it will start full screen. However the mouse cursor will be gone and you can only quit Lumion with ALT + TAB and then kill the application!

That is why it is not in the manual.

A fullscreen mode would be great...

Stereoscopic movies? That sounds great. I have to check that in your demo. I already did some short movie tests with Lumion, but had some render problems. The render time was about 10 seconds per frame. When I came back to the pc later the screen was white. I moved the mouse and the screen came back and shortly showed me 20000 secs per frame render time, befre showing about 0 secs again. The rendering wasn t much father than it was 5 hours before.

Thx so far!

"ctrl l" that sounds like it is the solution for viewing my models later in 3d! I have to buy Lumion!

Dear support,

I looked in the helpfile and found that I can activate Fullscreenmode by pressing F11 and it works! So easy.... I will next try the BUY Wink button.

F11 of course also switches to full desktop but it is still windowed mode. Not sure if 3d vision then works. If it does then just use F11 instead of CTRL starting of course.

And we love people trying out the buy button of course Wink

F11 will not work for 3d vision

Holding CTRL, double click Lumion icon, release control, will start Lumion in fullscreen and then only  3d vision works.

Only it switches to a lower resolution, but it works, also it canbe you lose the visual mouse pointer

There's no INI file for that.

However, normally you can just press F11 and get your desktop resolution. We did not do any testing with 3D vision yet so it's not officially supported.

You CAN produce 3D movies though! it's awesome! Just press ctrl on the export screen, enable 3D mode and it will produce a left/right eye video file. You can upload this video to Youtube. Add the tag "yt3d:aspect=16:9 yt3d:enable=true" to the video and Youtube will make it 3D! There's also a movie effect that allows you to tweak eye distance, eye swapping and focus point.

This 3d function is not available in the Free version of Lumion. Does any of you have any 3d movies on for instance youtube I can look at too see the effect? I have Nvidia 3d vision and glasses. Very curios about this. Such cool technology.

Here is one (note that I exported it with rather low settings just as an experiment):

Edit: click on the link below the video. 3D embedding only works with YouTube's new, iFrame embedding code, not the object embed which the forum software seems to be using.

Nevertheless you can at least see how it is made up: the left and right eye images are placed next to each other. (It would be super cool to be able to save them separately in two, different - and full resolution! - channels maybe at least when we export as images).
