I can't find the new features for Tone mapping from the developer videos anwhere in Lumion. Do I need a plugin?
How did you do the beautiful scenes? I only can see some menues moved from upper left into the sun menu so I can set AO and such things there now...

At the moment, there are 4 presets for tonemapping in the advanced Weather settings:

Contrast Tone
Neutral Tone
Vivid Tone
Retro Tone

@Michael>

The presets are there to get you going but a lot has changed regarding tonemapping.
For instance, the Color-Grading movie-effect now has blue and redshift sliders added,
Might sound small but these are powerful additions. Takes some time to adjust  :D

@Nicolas>

See pic. Slider gives you the 4 options where Contrast tone is more or less the equivalent of the old
tonemapper and the other 3 are new (and thus better :-))

I´m sorry Aaron I don´t see Vivid Tone and Retro Tone.

By the way 1, when you come back to hang on Vimeo video of the E.T. ship?
Thought I would update 2 and come back to the load.
I've only seen it once! lol.  :D

By the way 2, is this Lumion?

The tone map slider allows you to select one of the 3 new tone map functions. The first setting is similar to lumion 1.0. We did indeed improve the color grading movie effect for better results and more options. To complement the new tone mapping there's a new bloom and flare function. In lumion 1.0 there was too much bloom. Now you can configure it so only bright spots bloom, like they should. The movie efffect plugin will give you an awesome lensflare effect which allows you to animate and control every detail of flares and bloom. There's an extra anamorphic streak and lens reflections too!

@Remko > the lensflares are awesome. Especially when viewed in conjunction with water or highly reflective surfaces. Right now though it's impossible to get the full lensflare effect.
It's the reflections-slider acting iffy. Almost impossible to generate proper iris blades.

@Nicolas > E.T. ? Haha!
You mean this one right?
The one you show is made in 3dsMax but shouldn't be hard to replicate in Lumion.
In fact I reckon easier and better looking  :-D

You mean it's just not there  ???
What happens if you move the slider all the way to the right?

I'm looking at all the issues that are appearing in the forum and honestly I'm getting scared Lumion install SP2, as well as the plugin package that we install. Therefore I'd like to answer some of the following questions:
  1 .- We can install SP2 Lumion or have to resolve a question that requires us to desistalar and reinstall.
2 .- You can download the plugin that we can buy, although we have no Lumion INTAL SP2 and install it.
3 .- We would like to know if buying the rest of the plugin, ie the remaining four have some type of offer, because as I have read each plugin package worth 150 €.

We sincerely believe that your program is fascinating, but the price of the plugin out to be a bit excessive.

Best regards

wow the tone mapping makes a difference!!! more realistic.

@ Aron : if you have to pick one package, which one you will pick? I know you have Lumion ultimate, I am asking you since you have experiment with all the packages, so I wanted to hear your suggestions..

Thanks and great work!!!

@Nicolas > excellent way of showing the differences between the tonepresets!

@Jordan > at gunpoint my vote would go to the movie-effects pack. The DoF alone makes this an awesome addition to your toolbox. In the end it's up to you of course  :) What do you need the most right now?
