A client asked me if it's possible to navigate Lumion with a multi-touch display. He wants to build up some presentation stations.

Personally i think it would be hard to navigate a scene with a touch display and recommend a large TV display with maybe navidia 3d plus a game-pad for a good user experience in theater mode.

Is it possible to navigte with touch?

Most natigation deviced work as if they are a single mouse click. Multi touch means often you would need to code what behaviour you would want. Currently we didn't create a method of moving the camera with multitouch. But we did get a request to be able to do multitouch with Quest3D which makes this easy technology to eventually use in Lumion might the need arrise.

I know it all looks nice and fancy, but i did a lot of testing with these mutli touch screen, but none of them respond the same...

Issue is also that most of this screen dont have a friendly driver where you can tweak setting, or windows 7 does not allow you to change it.

And if you get it to work, your next issue will be the end user... not all people know the guesture controls and if you have to long fingernails most of the time inputs will not work.

Just old fashion on screen touch controls would save you and the end user alot of fustration...
