Hello Lumion Team,

Thank you for a fantastic product.

One question....

Is
it possible to save two different scenes with different material
variations. Whenever I attempt to do this, the materials of the last
file I saved get applied to both scenes?

I.e. - I have building "A" in brick. I save this as, say, "brick_scene".

Then I save the same scene with building "A" as "concrete_scene" and change the materials to concrete and re-save.

When I go back to "brick_scene" it has concrete materials applied???

My apologies if this question has already been asked somewhere in this forum.

Thanks again,

Mavil

Also...Is it possible to save camera position from one lumion scene and re-open this camera position data in another lumion scene?

This is not yet possible but we've got it on the wish list (check out The Definitive Wish List for new Functionality):

  • Save/Load user-created materials to avoid having to create them again in other scenes

  • Save/Load user-modified Lumion materials to avoid having to create them again in other scenes

Hello Marvil, you have to reimport the original file (DAE, FBX whatever).

Name the new imported object different from the "brick_scene". And then edit materials.

Lumion saves the changes on an imported model in a library-object. When you update a material it will be saved in that library-object which is in the scene.

So different scenes use the same library-object and every change of materials will only have effect on the library-object.

If you want  the same scene with different "library-objects", you have to create different "library-objects". This works by reimporting and creating this way a new library object.

Perhaps copying / renaming in the saving-folder and then loading / editing would make it too.

Please correct me anyone, if i´m wrong.
