Hi All,
iam testing demo version of lumion with update1 and running on pretty good machine with 6 core, 8gb ram and 580gtx (1.5gb).
Earlier i was using normal graphic card and that time lumion was running really slow. Now, as iam using 580gtx, lumion is fast enough.
Problem:-
I was testing lumion on a big scene.the problem is once the scene is imported, i can move fast(real fast) but whenever i choose "edit materials" then lumion becomes really slow and everytime i've to kill the application process and restart it again.
i've tried on simple scene and lumion is working fine.My only concern is with the heavy scene, how come all the navigations are fast but  "edit materials" gets slow after which everything gets slow???

and is there any way to apply textures only in lumion from scratch, because if i apply single standard material to whole scene in 3dmax then lumion recognizes it and doesnt allow me to apply multiple materials on geometry.

I am not sure if you have found a problem. What kind of scene are you creating? Is it fast again if you close the material editor?

You will need to create a new material name for your model surface if you want Lumion to recognize it.

Hi Ferry, thank you buddy for replying....i found the solution....actually i took a scene from one of our projects....its a big apartment interior....the other guys who had worked on it before in 3ds max had used .mpg video files in the 3 plasma tvs as textures...he he....and lumion doesnt support video files as a texture.
also there were some heavy psd files in the scene so i changed them into .jpg......iam impressed with lumion the way it handles big scenes so easily....its ALL GOOD NOW.
Hope, lumion will accept video files as texture in the near future...it would be cool then.
