- will updates be free for standard license customers?
Hi Carl, updates are free until the next major upgrade. In other words, upgrading from Lumion 2 to 3 in late 2012 will incur a fee, but all other maintenance updates should be free (As an example, 2.0 to 2.1 to 2.2 have been free updates).
- will there be new objects for standard license customers when updates appear ?
Yes, the standard version of Lumion has about 1/3 of the Lumion Pro Model Library, so if it grows by x amount, we aim to provide roughly 1/3 of the new models in the standard version (excluding certain high-quality Pro-only models). Just bear in mind that we do not always include new models in every minor update.
Here are some screenshots of the models in the 2 versions:http://lumion3d.com/forum/f-a-q/lumion-2-model-library-in-lumion/http://lumion3d.com/forum/f-a-q/lumion-2-model-library-in-lumion-pro/

We do offer an educational version of Lumion. There will be an announcement regarding this as soon as the next update of Lumion is ready (we're beta testing it at the moment). In the mean time, feel free to contact firstname.lastname@example.org
for more information.
