I have a mac book pro and running parallels 6. i have a AMD Radeon HD 6750M graphics card and whenever i open the demo it says "shader model 3 was not detected to work on this graphics card. Lumion needs at minimum a shader model 3 capable graphics card". It says that this AMD card is shader 5 capable. Also i installed DirectX 9. I would really like to try out lumion but its frustrating not having it work.

We have not done any tests with Virtualization (yet). There's a chance Parallels does not allow you to acces the full capabilities of the 3D card when you virtualize Windows. It's not really a good idea anyways because a virtual OS will reduce performance dramatically.

Probably your best bet is to use Bootcamp. Bootcamp allows you to natively run Windows on your Mac.
