Hello Lumion Team,

Night has been short to download and make a test on Lumion 2 .... I would like to thank you for the work done ... and give a quick opinion ... on very few less interesting point :

- Thank you to give us a showroom white/white terrain template and a white + sky template. ideas i "fight" for since few weeks now ... to allow us to present products or architecture projects in a different way... more quickly ... with less work on outdoor management. I was very surprise to discover them when i have opened Lumion 2 for the first time  8)...
- Interior light are amazing ... it push far away again Lumion possibilities. ... for product presentation too. We need now a circular  camera movement, please .... ;). I was amazed with the bathroom showroom template possibility.Lumion can be used now by furniture designer and others ....
- Rendering qualities improvement with new shadows.
- Atmosphere tool is very precise now with fantastic sunsets and sunrises ...   :o
- Most of all, i feel the editor mode more nervous ... a very very good point. Editor improvement/new interface  in general is very good. Maybe the most important point ... we needed finally.

Points less interesting (for a first use) :
- Object falling from sky ??????? very strange results with the small "jump" when touch ground .... Very difficult to manage animation.
- Clouds quality is mid sometimes with low poly quality on background ... One of my "biggest" reproach.
- Cloud tool (with different layers) is a bit disapointing : Not always good result ....Strange effect with far clouds style ???
- Low resolution of night stars ... Has to be improved ... but great concept. :-D
- Glass reflection ... like Lumion 1.

Thank you for this major update  :D

Pierre

PS : No problem with "middle class heroes", 3d working models ... i will waiting for them for a next update.

They're falling too fast in my opinion. Maybe they can add a velocity slider, so it's easier to control how fast the models drop from the sky. If you drag the time slider instead of pressing the Play button, you'll notice that the small "jump" is the object bouncing as it hits the ground.

I'm guessing they'll be tweaking some of the new features over the coming days. For example the rain drops in the Rain effect which I think are falling too slowly.

The low resolution night sky texture is only displayed in Build mode. Try rendering a Photo or a Movie to see how crisp the stars really look :) The same thing applies to the cloud textures.

Can you elaborate on what you don't like about the new cloud layers, so that we can forward your feedback to Alexander, our shader guru? Screenshots and real-world examples are welcome.

Hi Morten

efectively falling is a little bit fast, your slider's suggestions would be quite good.

Otherwise I guess it impossible to drop differents elements in differrent timming.

After months of consideration and spending some time with the free version, yesterday I finally made a decision to buy, which I did yesterday morning. Little did I know, version 2 was delivered on the same day! When my download, installation, and activation was complete I started playing around with Lumion 2...and was up almost all night because I was so overwhelmed by the software. My mind is blown. What an amazing piece of software, this Lumion.

My sincere thanks to the Lumion team for developing such an amazing tool and satisfying a need; the need to be able to deliver effective and elegant design visualization animations with minimal rendering time. Lumion 1 looked promising - even promising enough to convince me to buy in - but Lumion 2, especially those gorgeous skies, is a very very impressive step up.
