i have lumion basic with three plugins,

will i be able to open my scenes in lumion basic, in lumion ultimate or do i have to have exact the same plugins on another liscense ?

one of our customers wants to buy lumion for viewing our models of their building complex, and i want to avoid any problems ...

kind regards

Hi Stucki, you can load scenes in Lumion Basic (without any plug-ins), even if the scenes include plug-in effects/models/materials, and the effects/models/materials will remain in the scene. You just can't add any new plug-in effects models/materials, and you also can't edit any of the plug-in Movie effects.

So if the client just needs to inspect the models and/or render pre-made clips, a Basic license should suffice.

so even if i have ultimate and put everykind of effect into the scene, my customer will see all this in the basic version ?

Yes, that's correct.

I think the reason they've designed it like this is to ensure that a Lumion Basic license can be used purely for rendering scenes from Lumion Ultimate.
