I'm using Lumion2 Ultimate. The setting for the rendering is high quality and full HD.

My PC setup is:
HP Workstation Z600
Intel Xeon E5620 * 2
16 GB 1333 Rams
Nvidia Quadro 4000 2GB

Is it normal to take such a long time to render such a short movie?

Normal render time is around 6 seconds but it depends on what you render ofcourse. If you have hundreds of lights it's much slower. You can try rendering with 2 stars and apply the smooth edges effect for some antialiassing. For final results you want to use 3 stars though. We had some customers before with slow scenes and then it turned out they were rendering 100 million polygons or something like that.

Hi Xman, your Quadro 4000 card is only slightly above the minimum requirement for simple scenes (1,500 PassMark points vs your card's 1,872), so if your scene is very complex you can't expect fast render times:
