Flicker noise on Parking lot lines

There's a parking lot with white lines in one of my projects. I'm getting a little "flicker" on them as the camera moves.

I have the quality of the final render at "3 stars" highest quality. Also it is at 720HD setting.  But as the camera moves, the lines on a parking lot are carrying some "flicker".  Is there a quick and dirty way to reduce this in the settings. Any common culprits that I'm unaware of there?  I thought maybe setting the AO differently might help, but wasn't sure.

Thanks in advance.

Check this tutorial from 2:15 onwards.
It explains how to control Depth-Offset to get rid of flickering on thin faces.

sounds like a z plane conflict (two faces occupying same space)

Hey Aaron & Pete,

Thanks for your quick replies.  I think the z plane could have something to do with it because it isn't a texture but rather geometry making up the lines.

I will revisit that tutoral....couldn't remember where I had seen something about that.

In that case just move the geometry vertically until the flickering stops.  This works for close-ups, but applying a paint material with a depth-offset is still the best option for far away shots.  Using depth offset for close-ups can sometimes result in a floating effect.

I am not sure how to use uv mapping for curved and special shapes, so I usually model in revit (in correlation to the arch side of things).  I make my stripes about 6" thick and just sink them into the pavement.  That way I can avoid the floating effect.

There's a special function in Lumion to fix this! Check it out in the tutorial:

at 2:12.

I raised the geometry of the lines higher on the model and that fixed it. The parking lines are far enough away from the camera so that it doesn't matter that they are up abnormally.
