Export of depth maps, normalmaps and renderings without sky.
In both photo mode and movie mode.

Does this meen that we now can export an image divided in materials?

I would like to see these functions in use. Eg. on YouTube?

Thanks

Why does the depth map have color?

Sorry, I don't understand - the Depth pass above is a greyscale image? Are you referring to the Normal pass by any chance?

Nope, it says depth pass on its corner ribbon and has distinctively yellow regions (checked the RGB values).

Note to self: Remember to turn off movie effects before rendering G-buffer maps (especially Color Grading) :)

Well spotted, byzantium1200 - I've rendered the maps again and updated the post above.

I think the other passes should not be affected by some movie effects, otherwise we have to render twice, one for the beauty pass and other for the G-buffers.

Is there a switch for turning them off or do I have to delete all effect, and reapply again after rendering my passes?

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

Can anyone advise on what the best blending modes in Photoshop are for these?
I've only played around with the following in vray.

Material I.D - colour range,
No sky - alpha mask,
AO - Multiply

Is there any possibility of getting an AO pass in the near future?
Since we can import our models in collada with edges..would there be a way to render out a line edge pass?

There is currently no switch but some of the Beta users requested that the effects should be switched off by default when rendering the G-buffer maps. Hopefully Ferry will consider this in a future update.

Hi Jared, please post this request in the Wish List section, so that it won't drown in the General Discussion area.

I've been asked by an infographist/illustrator if i could give him a material ID file like on the previous page so he could tweak each material independantly himself....so i tried the ID file in shotoshop but seems like colors are too close alike so PS doesn't create boundary of each material.  What do i do wrong.  If it works, might be an opening to buy the PROversion.

Thanks
