Driving Lumion RT from external app/device?

Hello!

This may be an oddball thing to want to do, but I have a potential application for a client coming up where I need to control sun height and cloud parameters in theatre mode from an external program on the same machine, a network call over tcp/udp, OSC/MIDI or from a physical device (like a microcontroller) communicating over a serial link.

This is all possible with the Unity game engine with SilverLining's sky plug-in, for example, but I find Lumion 2's skies more attractive. Is there some way to accomplish this with Lumion? Some API hooks or something?

Hi apophene, Ferry tells me that this is not possible and is unlikely to ever be implemented, so you're better off using Unity for now.

YOu could try to use a remote app like Teamviewer. I use to observe my workstation rendering with the ipad. But you would need a good bit of bandwith.
