Distant Geometry Clipping/Disappearing

Hi, I have a model that is quite big. There is a hill some 8 km away (its a google earth mesh) that is a focal point in the area... when in Lumion however, that hill flickers and its top half kind disappears, and only when I get closer the hill appears again in its entirety.

it happens both in preview mode and also when rendering final movie.

its there some setting to avoid this? Some setting I can change?

maybe resizing the model, INSIDE Sketchup, from 8000 meters wide to 800 meters??

Although I suppose it will be a pain in the ass to resize all standart objects that I include from Lumion (people, trees, cars) to the correct size to match the size imported from Sketchup...

ps: it seems the distant objects (in the case the large hill) only has the "clipping" / dissapearance problem when straight ahead of the camera. When the hill in the corner of the screen, it appears fully.

thanks a lot Morten. Worked flawlessly.

although I noticed that I cant put Lumion objects (people, cars, trees) very far from the virtual center of the Lumion environment.

the position cursor even disappears!

Which version of Lumion are you using?

Lumion FREE SP2 Build 5?
Lumion FREE SP2 Build 7?
Lumion Basic/Ultimate SP2 Build 8?

In Build 7+ we've made it possible to place objects much further away from the world origin than in Build 5. Ferry knows how much further :)
