How can I import a Vray materials using stander materials option it only can import materials as pic ???

Its not possible, because vray materials will only work in vray...
So you need to use standard materials.

Have you tried some of the scripts that can convert Vray materials to Standard materials?

Bit rusty on Max so this may sound a dumb question, but is it possible to bake the textures into a full map and then export with that channel so the UV's are set for the map and import either as standard or lightmap material?,

or alternatively, render the vray materials and make standard resulting textures from them by rendering to a 1x1 plane?

thx ... Morten for help ... I tried it but the material is not as realistic as Vray ... in vray I used to follow some standards to reach the reality ... in lumion I can a tried alot to adjust the sun lights , strength , the ambitions and ... etc  but i didn't reach the reality ... so can u help us to show us a some values and standards in lumion render u fell satisfy with the realty of the render ...   thx again for yur help .... and um sorry for replying late ... but I was travailing ... thx again and waiting for yur replay

I've seen large public scale projects built off of scribbles and hand colored renderings.

How true.  :D  Or just simple CAD drawings.

One key quality of materials settings is to include normal maps in your standard materials, or alternatively as needed, specular maps (v2.1+).  These add substantially to depth and final quality of more real-world look than just a texture map. You just need to make them from your source texture and add them in by hand using the material editor.

ok but u know in vray we use certain values in reflections , ambitions , saturation ... etc all this value we keep it and use it when we render a photo using vray material , but in lumion their aren't a materials for every thing like ceramics , plastics ....etc so we have to import our materials which is very good and high resolution  , but the final rendering became not as mush good as needed so , I need from u to give us a values we can use in rendering  for example a night sense , and notice that the examples Lumion included didn't give the best reality which I saw it in lumion official presentation ... it was wonderful and I adore Lumion so I need to reach the best reality comparing between any other rendering engine ... hope u help me in this ... thanks for lumion and thanks for yur effort ... Morten ... I use sketchup vray material ,,, can u explan how to convert it to standard material ,,, and need a certain values  to make a cutrain wall without any transparency like mirror I can't reach it in lumion

I dont think this is possible in sketch up. Maybe there is a rubby script that can do it, but I guess you need to stick with using the normal paint materials.

If we can do it in any other program we can export it for this program and make the conversion in this software ... just we need to know how to convert vray to standard with the same resolution ....

If a standard material is applied and mapped with UVW coordinates in Max - it will import into Lumion with the same mapping.
