CUT CLIP MOVIE EFFECT

Hi All,

1. Does anyone know what has replaced cut clip movie effect
    in build 7?
2. Does anyone know what has replaced UV map in build 7?

3. Does anyone know how to trigger a moving person or car at
    a selected point in the time line?

Sorry about the late reply, Alickn.

1) When SP2 was released, they decided to remove the "Cut clip" effect since it caused more problems than it solved.

2) What do you mean by "UV map"?

3) This is currently not possible. However, the animation functionality in Lumion will be improved in the future.

UV mapping is the set of coordinates used to put a texture on an object. I didn't know Lumion even had options for UV mapping.

Ah, I think I understand what you mean now.

When you apply a material from the Material Library you've got two options:

1) Scale slider = 0: Lumion uses the imported UV coordinates
2) Scale slider > 0: Lumion uses the scale slider value

UV mapping is the set of coordinates used to put a texture on an object. I didn't know Lumion even had options for UV mapping.

Lumion SP1 had a feature called "custom uv" in the material editor. Clicking this icon re-oriented the uv coordinates of materials imported with custom objects, you could then apply the scale slider to enlarge or reduce the tiling. It was quite a useful tool. What used to happen is that some faces for custom objects would show weired material maps, and clicking this used to easily re-orient the mapping coordinates the same way that they appeared in the native program.
