Can someone please tell me how to copy/paste large areas of vegetation?  I want to do a full ecosystem using palms, grass, trees etc.   I have created an area next to a river with the relevant plants and now wish to randomly cover the whole landscape with them.

In object mode, i press 'trees' and ctrl+left click to select a rectangular area with no problems but what do i then use to copy/paste?   tried alt+ the move symbol as explained in the shortcuts section but nothing happens.

nice software tho, even if it is in it's infancy.    I'm a dedicated and longtime VUE user and it's refreshing to use something so quick to get into as Lumion

still need this question answering tho.

thx

Yes I agree - the need for a global object dynamic distribution tool is needed with
scale, density, rotation, overlapping on, intersecting off, and movement.

Once you have CTRL-selected the trees/plants, press ALT while you drag one of the selected objects to clone the selection. I'll clarify this in the Tips & Tricks thread.

OK Morten tried that, it only moves the selected objects, not duplicates them.   it's making me feel stupid lol.

Are you using the latest version of Lumion, ie Service Pack 2 Build 7?
