*Thinking out loud*

If I have Speedtree and Quest3D and create content like animated characters, objects, trees and shrubs that works with Lumion, could I create a bundle and offer it for sale? (all content will be my own creation)

Or, do y'all want to be the sole content providers?

*Unoffical*, it depends on how q3d 5 would be released. If the speedtree channels are included, and you have a speedtree licence then you are able to use your own speedtree models in q3d and lumion.
But sales of the models, is more a speedtree licence issue im afraid.

I do not have either apps at moment, I also have not looked at their EULA's yet to see if there are any restrictions like Xfrog has.

It would be a bummer if we could not as that would limit Lumion in the long run if we were restrained to only the content they make available, I'm  not saying that they will not have good content but rather saying it may be limited to main stream needs.

I may have a project in Dubai and require folks of Arab ethnicity in traditional clothing, or in Shanghai. I may need alpine vegetation or even a New Mexico zone vegetation. I could put in a request and hope for results or search 3rd party content and find what I need.

IMO, the more content available for Lumion the stronger Lumion becomes, regardless of who offers the content.

So you are thinking about something like Cornucopia is for Vue for instance?

(FYI - Pete has already made some excellent plant collections for SketchUp / 3rd party renderers)

Gai... I guess so, I mean Cornucopia is a hub for all content at moment, so why not Lumion, it will also give Lumion exposure.

You have a large archaeological project on the horizon, would it not be great to have roman soldiers, plebs, slaves, senators and citizens to fill your scenes? or carts and chariots with animated wheels and horses?

Definitely. I can import static ones now but of course they would be much nicer if they could also move. So for the time being, I get a static horseman and mount it on top of a Lumion horse. Looks a bit weird as the dude does not move.

Even worse; I need late Roman soldiers (4th century) and they are quite different from those you see in movies (1st / early to mid 2nd century ones at latest).

I have read in the wish list that a lot of people requested police officers for instance. Now by the time all uniforms in all country are added, there will be some time. If these could be made "custom", it would be much easier (while no-one really needs those of every country).

There won't be an open system to add content but there will be something new to add content but more on that later after SP2 is released! We noticed that many users want to add content to Lumion but we want to make sure the quality is high so we came up with something new. We do not have plans for an object market place for now so we will only add objects to the main object library.
