Are there any plans to use a camera system which is like ACT (advanced Camera Tools) is sketchup. I work in the TV business and crete Sets in side computers for a living. I'm often asked what camera 2, with a lens of such and such, would look like from this position, at the end of its lens (at full zoom). On sketchup for years we where stuck with the Camera,Stage plugin which was really creaking toward the end, if fact it disappeared for one generation of sketchup. Then came ACT. it gave you a set of lens, heights, pans and most importantly zooming (as opposed to the zoom you can do with you scroll wheel)
I haven't got Lumion yet and am itching to try, posting questions is taking my mind of the interminable wait for my new pc to arrive |:(
Anyway... Questions...

Other threads here tell me there might soon be a system to more accurately move objects with a coordinate input - could this also be used to place cameras?

I know Lumion has a zoom function - do you use this in movie mode and can you input a focal length?

How about ... can you place a Camera so you know where that is?

Are there any plans to use actual real world lens'?

It's also important in architectural rendering and animation. Lens is important to composition. Combined with DOF, ISO, Shutter speed etc. like how real camera work is very natural in workflow.

Thanks,

There's a Focal length slider in Build mode, and it is also available as an effect in Movie mode. The small circular button on the far right allows you to set keyframes if you want to animate the focal length.

Additionally have a look at this thread, Remko explains here that the camera-zoom in lumion refers to 35mm-cam :
