Billboard Face Camera Material

I've been trying to get this material type to work with imported Sketchup faceme components (trees) that are a part of a larger model, but seem to be having issues with it respecting the individual axis position of each item and defaulting to a central model axis.

I've also noticed that when exporting out of sketchup, if the viewport isn't set to front view, the Lumion billboard material will not face the Lumion camera, but will face an arbitrary front view and be angled to the Lumion camera.  (Perhaps this belongs in bug reports)

I was just curious if anyone else had a serious play with this and found any simple solutions that I'm overlooking.  I can get it to work if I import a single 2D tree by itself, out of the front view in sketchup and then apply the billboard material, however I'd like to import all the plants with the model itself so as to not bloat my import library.

I'll try and get some screen captures uploaded of my issues.

Hi EarthMover, unfortunately there's currently no way for SketchUp's Face Me components to be "flagged" as billboard objects when exporting to the Collada (.dae) format, so the only way to convert your trees to Lumion billboard objects is to import them individually and assign the Billboard material to each object. As you already found out, each object has to be centered at 0,0,0 and facing the front view in SketchUp before you export them.

Thanks Morten.  Pretty much figured the same.  Hopefully a way to organize the import library will come in a future release.
