Just a suggestion, I was working on a simple night scene here where there are alot of parking lots and moving cars ...

then It suddenly hit me, why not add lights and some small smoke effects (dust)to the cars, sadly this works for still images ...

but won't work for moving objects as the particles/smoke effects will not attach to the moving object.

this scene would be much cooler with car lights :

so in brief, is it possible to attach an effect (light/smoke) to an object and animate them together ?

**!!! : I just got a workaround idea ... which is to move the smoke/light frames separately just like the cars but that would be painful !! i will try it tho...

ok quick update:

Moving lights do work ! however the smoke effect does not.

here's a sample ..

moving lights

but still if am going to move 5-6 cars with their 2 front lights thats gonna be very painfull !

also on a side note, another suggesttion.

a NIGHT texture mode for the cars ?
where the front/back lamps should be at least showing any sign of being lit.

This (or rather generally "grouping" objects in order to manipulate / transform them together) has been requested many times already. True that it would make many things much easier and hopefully will be implemented some day.

I have the same problem when I try to copy a table with people seated.
