I really want to try Lumion out.... and at the chance of sounding like a total idiot; will this even run on a late 2010 MacBook Pro?
I dont expect it to work perfectly, but I'd like to get a feel for the software.
You guys think it's possible?
 :'( :'( :'(

Well you will need dual boot with windows and you didn't specify which 3d card is in your laptop to give a complete answer.

The problem with Macs and especially the notebooks is that they have slow gfx cards in comparison to PCs when you buy them. My guess is this is to ensure more stability. You can upgrade you Mac with a fast 3D card though. The fastest Mac pro now has a ATI 5870 which is not bad but faster options are not available.

Thanks Remko..!
I have an old PC I could upgrade for this. Would a ATI Radeon™ HD 4550 work??
thanks in advance.

512 MB of video memory is the minimal amount. If your 3d card has that Lumion will probably run. Try the demo first of course.
