Today I saw this video on the Internet. See the importance of animated textures with alpha channel. (1:50 min.)

from where the hell did this project to Maringá came from?? Never saw it before, and it looks like it will have the tallest building in Brazil (well, actually, Balneário Camboriu is building a 65 and an 80 floors buildings)

This is nothing to do with real time rendering.
Layer 3D is not a application but a Thailand company which make and prepare 3D Digital Visualization such as Architectural Animation Exterior Perspective Interior Perspective etc so your thought is valid the best solution is still Lumion3d.

No isnt Lumion, is done in 3dmax-vray and Maya animation(network render)
