advanced animation - a question

hi everybody,

is it possible to insert the "advanced animation" efect more times in a movie somehow, means fpr more people?

my lumion says "in use" , so i can only animate one person. (the basic animation does not work here, since my people have to walk across hills, which cannot be realised with the basic effect, does it?)
thanx for helping
stan

The Advanced Animation effect lets you select any and all objects, not just one object only, and animate it for that clip.

Also when you come back to editing the Advanced Animation, you simply select the object you wish to change the animation of and that covers all objects.

So as it covers all, I guess Lumion does not need to provide for further of the same effect and so excludes the effect via the "in use" and in-active button until the effect is removed.

hi peterm,
well, i have made some mistake, because that is, what i thought first.
after defining object 2 then object 1 did not follow it's path.

ok, i'll try again and learn.

but with that i see a problem:

in the advanced ani-modul it happens to me, when i delete all keyframepoints of a selected object, it disappears , ok, but after closing and opening the effect module again, this special object cannot be selected anymore , it is not visible at any position.

in the build-mode it is still on its original position.

usually i deleted the effect and inserted it again.
this only works for one used object only.

but what , when i have 20 objects defined and a mistake or somerhing happens?

i think, reducing functions to a certain amount is ok, but for a function like this, wher sometimes exact adjustments have to be made, i would wisch a submodule for each object, which does not effect other ones. and in this submodule the time-keyframes should be movable and a exact time-index for the start and stop of the movement (related to the length of the video) shoul be adjustable.

and for the wish-list: when an object is selected, it shoul be selected, until a really deselect it, because whith lots of objects it is really difficult to pick up the right one in a horizontal view (since lumion shows everything in the actual perspective regardless of the distance).

regards stan

Hi Stan

Yeh, I think that is direct result of a bug, not sure if it is the current anim must have 4 keyframe bug recently logged by Morten, but older versions and in Basic Anim used to do that, at one point the object reverted back to 0,0 and it or something similar seems to have bounced back in as a bug when removing keyframes, mainly I think it is a deleting first keyframe issue.

Haven't tested, but presume it would only relate to a single object so all other obejcts that have anim keyframes would still be OK, will see if can have a look at things and do some testing too.

IMHO, there's definitely still plenty of work to be done (thought more would have been covered in v2.5 from prior reports, oh well  :-\), but no doubt as they have with other things it will get much sweeter.

yes, i also hope for the future, since the program itself is great and my hope is, that the programmers listen to our ideas and wishes.......(which i really believe, since the forum is a real dialogue, which is good).

The Advanced Animation effect is currently not working as expected:

and for the wish-list: when an object is selected, it shoul be selected, until a really deselect it, because whith lots of objects it is really difficult to pick up the right one in a horizontal view (since lumion shows everything in the actual perspective regardless of the distance).
Please post this in the Wish List section - otherwise it will get lost among the many questions in the General Discussion area.
