Hello to all,

may I say congrats to the makers of Lumion?

I wanted to ask, can I use geological data from sources like Google Earth

to create a terrain within Lumion3d that resembles a real-life terrain?

This would be great to create the natural background of the area your 3d design

will be located once it is built in the real world.

Thanks in advance for the response.

I second that.

Would also love to know some links where these realistic terrain maps are available.

Isn't sketchup able to import google earth terrains? Then you can use the terrain as model. Add the terrain/rock material and use it as if it was a Lumion ground.

Lumion can import heightmaps or a terrain mesh. However we will add easier conversion routines in update that are coming.
