Hi romanxs85, please run "DXdiag" in the Windows Start menu -> Click on "Save All Information", and attach the dxdiag.txt document to your next post (Click on "+ Additional Options" below the text field). This allows us to check which graphics card and hardware you are using.

Thanks, unfortunately your Dell Inspiron N5110 laptop only has an integrated Intel HD graphics card which isn't powerful enough to run Lumion:

Your DX report indicates you are running the laptop with the Intel(R) HD Graphics Family ie the onboard GPU and you need to switch to the NVidia GPU

See this topic: Crash/Driver crash/Blue screen/"Not the same" error on laptop PCs

"NVIDIA CARDS:
Please check the specifications of your laptop to find out if it uses power-saving Optimus technology, ie, 2 graphics cards: a fast Nvidia card for 3D applications and a slow Intel card for word processing, web browsing etc.

The laptop will try to use the Intel HD card for Lumion by default, but this will cause a crash/bluescreen. The solution is to specify that Lumion should use the fast Nvidia card via the Nvidia control panel:

Hi

Replied also in other topic.

Please upgrade Lumion to the latest version 3.2.1.

Would you please add your Lumion 3 license key to your forum Account (click here, scroll to the bottom and enter your license number).

Please check which GPU is being used for Lumion.  Details in this topic: Crash/Driver crash/Blue screen/"Not the same" error on laptop PCs.

Hi,

I'm a student and I want to try Lumion, so I downloaded the free version from the site.

When I open the program, after a few seconds the video freezes and says the program stopped working.

I've got a macbook from last year, here are the specs:

 Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.150113-1808)
           Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Apple Inc.
       System Model: MacBookPro9,2
               BIOS: Default System BIOS
          Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3520M CPU @ 2.90GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.9GHz
             Memory: 8192MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 8098MB RAM
Page File: 4426MB used, 11768MB available
        Windows Dir: C:\Windows
    DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
       Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
           DAC type: Internal
     Display Memory: 1696 MB
   Dedicated Memory: 64 MB
      Shared Memory: 1632 MB

Do i need another graphic memory card - will that solve the problem?

If so, which one would you suggest?

Or do I need to buy a new computer?

Thanks!

Hi tdrenth, welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately Lumion does not work with Intel HD cards as they're too slow.

To my knowledge, you can't upgrade graphics cards in MacBooks, so you'd need to invest in a PC with a much better graphics card.

Please read this post for more information.
