First of all, its all running well but when i try to take a photo, for example, all the screen turns white, like in this photo. Please help me!

Hi serrinhah, what happens when you try to render videos (MP4) or image sequences (IMG) in the Movie section?

i installed it recently, so i nerver tried to render anything. Another thing is that when i try to change the sunlight the sky turns black and pixelated, something like that. Im gonna upload a photo. One thing, when i try to take pictures to create a movie, the same problem occurs. The shades turns darkers and the sky turns black.

1) Please run "DXdiag" in the Windows Start menu -> Click on "Save All Information", and attach the dxdiag.txt document to your next post (Click on "+ Additional Options" below the text field). This allows us to check which graphics card, Windows version and hardware you are using.

2) I will also need to know the full product name of your laptop PC (e.g. Dell Inspiron 15R).

By the way, it sounds very much like your laptop has 2 GPUs, also known as an Integrated and a Discrete Graphics card. On certain Dell and HP laptops, Intel HD Graphics 4000 is typically the Integrated GPU and AMD Radeon HD xxxxM is the Discrete GPU. The fast AMD graphics card is used for more demanding 3D graphics, whereas the slower Intel HD 4000 is used for browsing the internet, text editing etc.

STEP 1: Find out if you have two graphics cards

a) Click on the Windows Start button
b) Click on the Control Panel
c) Click on the Device Manager and expand Display Adapters

STEP 2: Assign the fast AMD graphics card to Lumion

a) Click on the Windows Start button and select Programs
b) Click on Catalyst Control Center
c) Click on Power and select Switchable Graphics
d) Choose Lumion from the list or browse to select an application and assign the AMD card
e) Start Lumion

Hi serrinhah, if you google for 'Dell Inspiron 15R intel HD radeon switchable graphics' you will find many people who can't get the faster Radeon graphics card to work with a variety of games and applications, e.g. Adobe Premiere.

Some people got it to work after uninstalling the graphics card driver software and CCC (Catalyst Control Center) + downloading and installing the latest version ( 12.8 ) from the AMD website:

http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

After installing v12.8, Lumion.exe (and any other 3D applications on your laptop) then need to be set to 'High Performance' in CCC.

Which version of CCC are you using? (CCC -> Information -> Software Update)

Your CCC screenshot looks odd - as if a bunch of options are missing...

For comparison, here are screenshots of how the switchable graphics can be configured:
http://www.anandtech.com/Gallery/Album/1403#3

I can see on your screenshot that you're running on battery power. As you can see on the Anandtech screenshots, one of the settings in CCC may force it to use the Intel HD 4000 card when running on battery power. Please check if this option is turned on or off, and try to plug in a power source before running Lumion again.

Also, please read this article on the HP website (it should also apply to Dell laptops with AMD Switchable Graphics):

Hello!

I have the same issue!

I downloaded Lumion Free 3.2.1 (Student Version)

My graphics look like it could take it but when I select the landscaping option it opens it up and shows just black and white.

Could you tell me what I need to do? I need to fix it ASAP as I have a university presentation next week. I also don't know how to find the DxDiag.txt file.  :-\

I would appreciate it very much if you could reply. Thank you!  :D
