Hi

Are there any plans in the future to implement point cloud support into LUMION - such as RCP, PTS or any other ?

Hi Jacek Kwiatkowski, unfortunately the developers do not comment on whether a given feature can or will be implemented in a future update.

However, you're welcome to suggest that the developers should focus on point cloud support in the Feedback & Wish List section of the forum (access to that area requires that you have registered a valid license on your forum profile page).

Thanks for the answer Morten

Well - in my opinion this is the way the market is going - all the big companies are focusing on pointcloud support - Bentey with pointools, Autodesk with ReCap, Faro with Kubit - There is no software on the market that could render pointclouds and mix the picture with 3d modeling - it would be a great addaon.

It doesn't have to be complicated - just one format such a PTS file ( txt format ) - that is read by everyone

I'm not planning to buy Lumion :) - but I see the major update to you made with Silex3D :)

Cheers :) Great Work

Ah, Lumion was only temporarily called Silex3D during development (before the release of Lumion 1.0).

Quest3D which is used for creating Lumion was in fact first called Silex3D back in 1999-2000 - this is what I thought you were referring to :)
