More fun with the lens flare....and overlay effects to still images.

Waaaaaay to many hours spent on the modeling in Sketchup (mainly due to client/Architect changes)  Probably 25 to 30 hours total?

Lumion 2.5 time probably about 8 hours

Windows 7 Pro 64 bit
12 GB RAM
i7 2.67 GHz
GTX 580 3GB

Renders in 10 to 15 seconds
Animation in 1.5 Hours at 3 star 1080 (I'll get it uploaded soon)

Thanks for all the comments!  This project was a lot of fun and the Lumion images and animation now get to do the real work...fundraising!!!  :)

@Francan:  I've outlined a few of the keys that I use to get the lens flare and glass reflections to look the way I want...hopefully this helps you out.  Let me know if you have other questions and I'll try to help.

The first image shows my lens flare settings.  I've circled some of the items to note.  You have to do this in the movie mode....just pick the shot you want and snap it as a single frame and thats it.  Just add any effects you want and when you go from movie mode back to photo mode (has to be in that order) you will be able to export a single image that shows all the effects of the movie but in a single rendered image.

The next two images show the reflection control ball.  It is under the lights menu when you click the little tools icon at the top.  Just place the ball where you want to see reflections generated from and adjust the location until the reflections are pleasing to you.  You can only place one ball in the model so I just move it around for still shots and then place it in a fairly universal spot when I do the animations.

I've been using it since February/March I think...you are on the right track by being on these forums and asking questions. There are tons of people on here with solid advice about Lumion, graphics in general...really just about anything related to arch viz and more!  This is a very helpful and collaborative community.

Great model job and material work. The reflections and lighting are great. Funny about the Sketchup models and revisions...seems the more lumion food you feed them the more ideas are developed...certainly a good thing for the modeler.. :-D
Thanks for the reflection ball tips as well.....your illustrations make the technique very clear and consise.

Well done dcrosssvpa, this is a great rendering. You have handled
glass and other materials so well. We would like to see the animation as well.
